Yesterday, Mary attended the second day of the ICPD25 High Level Commission meeting at the Nairobi Summit in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Sharing photos of the royal on its social media, the Danish Royal Family posted on behalf of Mary, saying: “As a member of High Level Commission for ICPD+25, I was proud to launch a status report on the 1,300 promises made in Nairobi in 2019. Despite major challenges, progress has been made and it’s important to remember that every positive step counts. Still a long way to go though.”
The caption continued: “I hope the report can serve as an inspiration and a tool for countries worldwide in their work to deliver on the promise of securing the right of girls and women to decide for their own bodies. Whether they want kids or not. And when. And how many.
“Whether they will marry and with whom. And their right to live a life free from violence and harmful practices such as child marriage and girl circumcision. As I ended my speech by saying: ‘There can be no doubt, that the work ahead is complicated but why we are doing it, is not’.”
In the photos, Mary was wearing two different outfits, having seemed to change twice in the day.
One outfit was praised by fans, while the other caused division. Some royal watchers liked it, while others said it was a “rare miss” for the royal.

Called the Paper Bag-Waisted Palazzo Pants by iconic French designer Chloé, Mary held the trousers in place with a thin, brown belt.
The trousers also come in white, but both versions are currently out of stock. Describing the garment on its website, Modes.com said: “Fusing wardrobe essentials with its signature contemporary stamp, Chloé presents a coveted new-season collection with its naturally chic take on staple closet pieces.
“Think classic tailored separates smartly finished with subtle studs for a dose of individuality. Equal parts boyish and romantic.”
Mary kept her beauty look casual – her hair was styled in a relaxed updo and she wore glasses.

She donned a subtle pair of hoop earrings and had barely any make-up on her face.
Fans were quick to comment on her outfit, and many had much to say about her trousers, which they didn’t seem too impressed by.
Instagram user Elaine Susan wrote: “I like the trousers, but it would look better if she styled it like the model.”
Nancy Trautman commented: “I absolutely love her but the trousers are not flattering. This is a rare miss because she seems to always get it right.” Isabel Quintana, however, said: “Classic and chic.”
Mary’s second outfit of the day was completely different – the Princess donned the Aliane Wrap Midi Dress by designer Zimmermann, which featured a blue and white pattern, long sleeves, and a loose belt.
She matched this with brown, stiletto sandals and a pair of huge gold earrings.
